Screw-In CO₂ Cylinders

Shop screw-in CO₂ cylinders for sparkling water makers and sparkling water taps with a standard screw-in connection, delivered anywhere in Ireland. Screw-in cylinders use the most common CO₂ thread, so they fit a wide range of popular machines and under-sink tap systems without adapters.

Pick the classic blue SodaStream Screw-In cylinder, or save with our own Gas4U Screw-In cylinder. Both hold 425g of food-grade CO₂ and make up to 60 litres of sparkling water, replacing over 120 single-use plastic bottles. Add a splash of flavour with our SodaStream syrups.

Machines and taps that use screw-in cylinders

Our 425g screw-in cylinders fit the standard screw-in (TR21x4) connection used by many popular brands, including:

  • Aarke: Carbonator models
  • Brita: sodaOne, sodaTrio, Yource

FAQs

Which machines use screw-in CO₂ cylinders? Screw-in cylinders fit machines with a standard screw-in connection, including the SodaStream Crystal 2.0 and Easy, Aarke Carbonator, Brita sodaOne and sodaTrio, Philips GoZero, MySoda Woody and Ruby, and Mitte Home. They don't fit Quick Connect machines such as the SodaStream TERRA, ART or DUO.

Do screw-in cylinders fit sparkling water taps? Yes, if your tap system takes a standard 425g screw-in cylinder, such as GROHE Blue Home. The Quooker CUBE uses a different valve, so standard screw-in cylinders won't fit it. Check your tap's manual if you're unsure.

How do I fit a screw-in cylinder? Remove the cap, insert the cylinder and screw it in clockwise until hand-tight. Don't use tools or overtighten.

What's the difference between the Gas4U and SodaStream screw-in cylinders? Both hold 425g of food-grade CO₂ and make up to 60 litres. The Gas4U cylinder is our own brand and costs less.

How long does a screw-in cylinder last? At about one litre of sparkling water a day, one cylinder typically lasts six to eight weeks, depending on how fizzy you like it.

What do I do with my empty screw-in cylinders? One-time buyers can return all their empties with a single free return label and receive credit towards their next order. Refill Club members have empties collected after each renewal.
